At Student Energy, we are grateful to have had another significant year with our global youth community in the energy sector, despite the challenges of the global energy crisis in 2022. The changes in businesses, governments, and investors have led to a rethinking of strategies to reduce emissions. It is inspiring to see so many young people taking action for climate change throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Our team is thrilled to share our actions to provide youth with the necessary skills, networks, and resources to grow and succeed in the energy sector. We have launched several initiatives, including the Career Training Program, Student Energy Guided Projects, and two new research projects: the Youth Impact Framework in partnership with the Global Covenant of Mayors on Climate and Energy, and the Energy Transition Skills Project in partnership with \u00d8rsted. We have also added 28 new Chapters, and our team has grown to 31 staff and 10 associates.<\/p>\n

We are proud to announce that we have secured the largest single partnership between the Government of Canada and Student Energy at the Global Clean Energy Action Forum. This partnership seeks to promote youth participation in the Canadian clean energy sector through capacity-building initiatives and investment, with funding of $5.3 million.<\/p>\n
