A team of 3, Meredith Adler, Shakti Ramkumar, and Helen Watts, represented Student Energy on the ground &#8211; here are some of our highlights:<\/p>\n<h3>Global Clean Energy Action Forum:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Meredith Adler, and SevenGen Council members Mihskakwan James Harper and Serena Mendizabal met with The Hon. Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister for Natural Resources Canada, to discuss youth-led action on clean energy in Canada, and to recognize the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/natural-resources-canada\/news\/2022\/09\/government-of-canada-contributes-53-million-to-promote-youth-participation-in-the-clean-energy-sector.html\">announcement of the Government of Canada\u2019s $5.3M contribution<\/a> to promote youth participation in the clean energy sector.<\/li>\n<li>Student Energy hosted an official side event at the GCEAF, <strong>\u201cMobilizing Youth for a Just Transition\u201d<\/strong>, moderated by Shakti Ramkumar and featuring speakers Serena Mendizabal (SevenGen), Isabella Pfoser (Austrian Youth Climate Council), Yasemin Yavari (Danish Youth Climate Council), and Efrem Bycer (LinkedIn).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13057 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-600x600.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-600x600.png 600w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5-380x380.png 380w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/5.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shakti moderated the final panel at the <strong>Creating the Energy Futures Forum Closing Plenary<\/strong>, featuring youth clean energy researchers and advocates who outlined technologies they are eager to see scale in the near future.<\/li>\n<li>Student Energy participated in a special side event, &#8220;From blindspot to hotspot&#8221;, with Shakti moderating audience engagement for a <strong>session on sustainable cooling<\/strong> organized by the Government of India, UNEP, Mission Innovation, the Cool Coalition, and Clean Cooling Collaborative, and featuring special guest Secretary John Kerry, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, USA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to these events, we were thrilled to meet youth delegates from around the world who participated in the GCEAF.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13059 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-600x600.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-600x600.png 600w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7-380x380.png 380w, https:\/\/studentenergy.org\/site\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/7.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>New York Climate Week:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We participated in a <strong>Youth Movement Building &amp; Climate Justice Re-Granters<\/strong> meeting alongside climate justice activists and re-granting\/funding organizations to explore the critical resourcing needs of youth climate justice activists<\/li>\n<li>Helen spoke at the <strong>UN Global Compact Private Sector Forum<\/strong>, alongside Ester Baiget, CEO of Novozymes, H.E.
